I'm looking for a Linux operating system that's faster and less bloated than Windows 11. As a gamer who also has some non-gaming tasks to handle, I want to transition from Windows to a Linux distro but I'm unsure where to start. I believe my desktop can handle most Linux flavors, but I'd love some recommendations tailored for gaming and everyday use. Let me know if you need any more details!

If you're focused on gaming, I’d suggest checking out Bazzite and Pop!_OS. Both are tailored for gamers and work great for regular tasks too. They often come up in discussions like this!

Don't forget Nobara Linux! It's also a solid choice for gaming.

Going solely with Arch can be the best if you're open to some advanced setup. It gives you a lot of control over your system.

Fedora is a good option too! It supports a wide range of software and gaming.

If you're considering dual-booting, Bazzite is a solid choice. For a dedicated Linux experience, CachyOS could be worth exploring!

I will mainly be playing games on Steam, but I’m worried about missing some titles that don't support Linux. Most of my games are roguelikes or interesting free ones. By the way, my setup includes a GTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Can't remember my CPU right now, but it’s AMD.
