I'm putting together a new PC and planning to use a 4TB SN850x M.2 SSD. To complement it, I want to bring an additional M.2 drive from my old PC, but my motherboard only has 2 slots available. Since I already have a lot of storage, I'm not too concerned about the size of the second drive. I'm trying to decide between the 1TB WD SN750 and the 2TB ADATA XPG Gammix S11 Pro. I use my PC for gaming (about 40%) and productivity tasks (around 60%).
I also have a couple of questions:
* Should I consider using either of these drives as my boot drive? (Comparing SN850x with SN750 and S11 Pro)
* Currently, I have a 500GB Samsung SSD as my boot drive that I want to clone to one of the new ones. Is there an easy way to clone it, and do you have any software recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your help!

The SN750 has a dedicated DRAM cache and utilizes newer NAND storage, making it significantly faster. I suggest using it as your boot drive. Instead of cloning everything, I'd recommend a fresh install. You can keep your old SSD connected, perform a clean Windows install on the SN750, and then transfer your files from the old SSD once you're set up. This way, you minimize the risk of issues when cloning the boot drive. For extra storage, stick with the larger XPG drive alongside your 2.5" SSD. Just ensure your boot drive has enough space for your programs to run smoothly.
I just found out I actually meant the SN750, not the SN7100. Does that change your recommendation between the XPG S11 and the SN750?
So, just to clarify, you’re saying I should wipe the SN750 clean, install Windows fresh on it, and then use the larger drive for games and media, right?
