I'm getting close to making a purchase for my new build and need some advice on motherboards. Initially, I was considering the Asrock X870 Pro RS, but I've come across reports of around 100 failures due to overheating issues, which has me worried. Now I'm thinking I might not need to stick with the 870 series. I've always had good experiences with Asus boards, but I've read that their quality control has dipped recently. So now I'm looking at options from MSI and Gigabyte as well. Ideally, I prefer a white motherboard, and I'm hoping to keep the cost around $200. Also, I'm planning to pair it with an Nvidia 5060 Ti with 16GB of RAM. What do you all recommend?

I wouldn't recommend AsRock right now due to the issues with the 9000 series X3D CPUs. They have a much higher failure rate compared to other brands. For quality and reliability, you can't go wrong with Asus, MSI, or Gigabyte. I've used boards from all three, but I personally lean towards Asus for high-end builds and MSI for budget-friendly options.
I’ve had great luck with Gigabyte motherboards. I used the Aorus model for my last two builds and just upgraded to a new one that supports Ryzen 9 7000 series chips. Their boards are solid, and I recommend checking out the Aorus Elite if you’re going that route.
I'm really happy with my Gigabyte Aorus Elite X870. It does have lane sharing, but as long as you’re not using the very latest GPUs, it shouldn’t be a big issue. I’ve also heard good things about the MSI MAG Tomahawk – just consider that some have raised concerns about its audio chipset.
I was looking at the MAG myself, but since I use an external audio interface, onboard sound isn’t really a factor for me either.
