Which Motherboards Support 128GB and 256GB DIMMs?

I'm curious about which motherboards currently support 128GB and 256GB DIMMs. I know that DDR5 has a theoretical limit of 512GB per DIMM, and the largest DIMM available now is 128GB. I'm also willing to look into server boards, as long as they use standard DIMMs and not RDIMMs. Are there any motherboards or chipsets out there capable of supporting higher capacity DIMMs for future upgrades? Additionally, is there any news from manufacturers regarding upcoming support for these capacities?

I've been doing some research and found that the main boards supporting 128GB DIMMs today are those that accept RDIMM DDR5. As it stands, 256GB or 512GB DIMMs aren’t available yet. Most high-end boards from ASUS or Asrock can handle RDIMMs, although they're not officially supported. It’s good to keep an eye on BIOS updates since they often add support for new capacities as they become available. Just a heads up, though, branded prebuilt PCs and laptops typically won’t receive many BIOS updates, so they might get stuck with lower capacities.

So does this mean that if I want future-proofing, I should stick with a high-end board that supports RDIMMs?
