I'm not looking to do a complete overhaul of my PC, but I've noticed my FPS has been dropping while gaming, especially in titles like CS and League. I'm seeking advice on what specific component I should upgrade to get the most noticeable performance boost. Here's my current setup:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6 cores, 3.59 GHz)
- AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (16 GB)
- Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 MHz (2x8 GB)
- ASRock B450M Steel Legend
- Corsair RM850e
I'm hoping for a suggestion that won't break the bank, as my budget is around £500.

Consider upgrading to an SSD if you're not using one already; even a SATA SSD can significantly improve load times. However, if you're looking at the CPU, your current Ryzen 5 3600 is a bit of a bottleneck for gaming. I'd recommend the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for the best boost, but if you're looking for something cheaper, the Ryzen 7 5700X or even the 5800 (non-3D) would be solid choices. These upgrades will help especially if you're gaming at 1440p, where your GPU can perform well!
Thanks for the tips! I really appreciate it. I'm still using 1440p, so I want to make sure I get the best upgrade possible.
