Which PC Build Should I Choose for Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a new PC and I'm stuck between two options. Here's what I have:

**Option A (290€):**
- **Processor:** Intel Core i5 9400F
- **Graphics Card:** NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (Asus)
- **RAM:** DDR4 16GB Dual HyperX 3600 MHz (two 8GB sticks)
- **Storage:** 932GB HDD + 224GB SSD
- **Power Supply:** Lux 650W 80 Plus Bronze
- **Motherboard:** B365M PRO-VDH (MS-7C39) MSI

**Option B (275€):**
- **Processor:** Intel i5 7400 3.0GHz
- **Graphics Card:** MSI Armor GTX 1080
- **RAM:** 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz (two 8GB sticks)
- **Storage:** 1TB HDD + 240GB SSD (Kingston HyperX Savage)
- **Power Supply:** Mars Gaming 700W 85+
- **Motherboard:** MSI Z270 Tomahawk Arctic

I know both have bottleneck issues, but I need to pick one. I'm planning to use it for medium to heavy gaming, like Genshin Impact and Fortnite at decent graphics settings. Any advice on which build is the better choice? Thanks!

Honestly, I would suggest looking for a different option if you can. Both of these options are a bit outdated. If you can find something based on the AM4 platform, it would offer better upgrade paths over time without breaking the bank. But if these are your only choices, go with Option A for better future-proofing.

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out for a better deal, but these were the best I could find.

I think Option A is definitely the better one. It has a better CPU which will help in the long run even if the GPU is a bit weaker. Also, it looks like you’d have room to upgrade later if needed, which is a big plus.

Good to know! I appreciate the input.

I'd say go with Option A. The i5 9400F is a newer chip and gives you more upgrade potential compared to the aged i5 7400 in Option B. The GTX 1660 SUPER might be a bit slower than the GTX 1080, but it's a solid choice for gaming. Plus, you can upgrade the CPU later if you want to boost performance.

Thanks for the tip! I’m definitely leaning towards Option A.
