Which Power Cable Should I Use for My GPU?

I'm planning to get the RM850x power supply to pair with my Zotac 5070Ti SFF graphics card. The PSU includes a native 12-pin to 12-pin cable, while the GPU comes with a 12-pin to 2x8-pin adapter. Should I go with the adapter and use two separate PSU PCIe cables, or stick with the single 12-pin cable from the PSU directly to the GPU?

Just go with the 12V-2x6 cable that comes with the PSU. The GPU's adapter is really meant for older PSUs that don’t have the proper cable. Using the native cable will give you a more reliable connection.

Definitely use the native cable. Forget the adapter option; it's not needed here.

Thanks for confirming!

Honestly, why would you even think about using the adapter when you've already got a native cable available? Just use the direct connection and avoid the hassle.

Just a heads-up, you can't actually use a 12-pin GPU cable with a 5000 series GPU. The 5000 series requires a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector. They might look the same, but they're different!

Yeah, sorry, I meant the 16-pin only (12+4).
