I'm building an AM5 PC with an R5 8600G, and I want to stick with RTX 50 series GPUs. I'm planning to make the purchase by the end of the year when sales are good. I'm considering the 5060, 5060 Ti, 5070, and 5070 Ti. I'd appreciate some advice on which GPU would be the best choice for performance and value, as well as any comparisons I should keep in mind. Thanks in advance!

Given that the R5 8600G doesn’t support PCIe 5 or full 16x lanes, the 5060 might be your best bet. If you opt for a higher model like the 5070 or 5070 Ti, you might face some bottlenecking with your CPU unless you plan to upgrade soon.
Maybe hold off until around November when more GPUs from the current generation are released. You might also want to check out the RX 9070 GRE if you’re open to alternatives. If sticking with Nvidia, the 5070 sounds like a solid choice. Just be cautious with anything that has 8GB of VRAM unless you have no other options.
I’m not a PC expert either, but the 8600G is an APU and its CPU cores aren't super strong. If you go with a high-end 50 series GPU, you might run into CPU bottleneck issues.
You should definitely check out some reviews before making a decision. The 5070 Ti has the best performance, but it might not offer the best value depending on your gaming style, resolution, and FPS needs. Prices are fluctuating right now; availability has been low leading to inflated costs. I’d recommend avoiding the 5060 and 5060 Ti with 8GB of VRAM as they’ll likely age poorly.
Absolutely, the 8GB 5060 Ti feels like a trap for consumers. It could be obsolete before you know it.
Thanks for the advice!
