Which SSD Should I Choose for My Desktop Upgrade?

I'm looking to upgrade my desktop with either a new SSD or add another one since I'm running low on disk space for important files, family pictures, and games. Ideally, I'd like a 1-2TB SSD, leaning towards 2TB if it's within an affordable price range. I'm interested in options that are good for gaming and have a reasonable price point. Please give me recommendations in Malaysian Ringgit (RM), as I'm based in Malaysia. I'm not too picky about price, but I'd appreciate seeing both the top options regardless of cost and those that are budget-friendly (around RM1000). For context, my desktop model is an Acer Nitro N50-656 with upgraded 32GB Kingston Fury Beast RAM. I appreciate any feedback and recommendations you have!

For a solid pick right now, go with something that's available and within your budget. A 2TB SSD that's reliable can be hard to find, but if budget isn't an issue, I'd recommend the Samsung 990 Pro or the Kingston Fury, both are fantastic but pricey. If you’re looking to keep costs down, check out the Lexar NM790 or WD SN5100—they're good choices. The local market will really dictate what's available, so don't forget to look at Acer SSDs too; I've heard good things about the Acer GM7, which should perform similarly to the Lexar. Just make sure to check your compatibility before buying!

Totally agree about checking compatibility! The 990 Pro is a popular choice, but definitely on the higher end right now. If you want to be safe, check the specifications of your motherboard or RAM slots to see what’s compatible.
