I'm trying to decide between two SSDs for my Windows 10 system drive. Should I go with the Kingston KC3000 500GB or the WD Black SN7100 1TB? The WD option is $20 more expensive, but I'm wondering if it's worth it. Ideally, I plan to not only install Windows on it but also use it for games and software like video editors. What do you all think?

I'd recommend the WD Black SN7100 without hesitation. The 500GB from Kingston might not be enough in the long run, especially if you're planning to install games and other software on the same drive. The extra $20 seems worth it for the additional storage and better performance.

But keep in mind, if you're just using it for the system drive, the 500GB could suffice. You could always use a separate drive for games and data.

Totally go for the WD Black! Even though they suggest using separate drives for different tasks, a single NVMe drive can handle everything comfortably. Plus, if you ever need to do a reinstall, you won't have to worry about backing everything up onto another drive. Just wipe and reload!

That's true! But for pure system use, you might lean toward the 500GB unless you really think you'll need the extra space for other applications.
