I'm trying to decide between the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB and the WD SN850x 2TB for my build. Does anyone have insights on which is the better option?

The best move is to go for whichever one is cheaper. The 990 Pro had some issues initially, but Samsung has a fixed version out now. It's slightly quicker in some gaming scenarios, but those differences are probably nothing you'd personally notice during regular use.
What do you suggest for a good motherboard and PSU for a build that includes a 9070XT? I'm really new to this.
Honestly? Just take the WD if it's cheaper. In everyday use, you probably won't notice much difference between the two.
WD is the way to go in my opinion!
If you're just looking for the best performance, go with the Samsung. I've had a 990 Pro myself and it's been fantastic! My backup drive is a WD 770 SN, and while it's good too, the Samsung really shines in terms of speed.
That's interesting to hear! But I've also heard great things about the WD, so I'm torn.
You can't go wrong with Samsung!
That's helpful! The WD SN850x 2TB with heatsink is on sale for $199.99 at Best Buy, while the 990 Pro 2TB without heatsink is $219.99 on Amazon. Might be a no-brainer if I want to save some cash!
