I'm getting ready to upgrade my SSD to a Samsung 9100, but I'm unsure if I should get one with a heatsink or one without. My motherboard is an ASRock B650 Pro RS. I'm new to this and hope to get some advice!

On your ASRock B650, the main M.2 slot under the CPU has a shield, so you don’t actually need a heatsink there if it’s your main drive. Just make sure you’re not putting the SSD in another slot that could slow it down because those 2nd slots aren’t Gen 5.
Yeah, I'm planning to use it as my main drive since my old SSD is really dated. Thanks for clarifying!
