I'm planning to purchase a Synology device for my company and I've spotted a few models that seem pretty similar but have a huge price range. For instance, the RS2423RP+, RS3621XS+, and SA3410 are all priced from $3,000 to $8,000. They all have specs like around 12 bays, 8-core CPUs, and between 8 to 16GB of memory. My primary use will be backing up local and cloud services, and I'm looking at needing around 20TB of storage. Any recommendations?

Considering the issues Synology has had with hard drives, I would advise against it unless you’re committed to buying their drives exclusively.
I'm honestly not a fan. I think there are better options out there for the money. I've dealt with constant disk rebuild issues, and now they lock you into using only their proprietary drives and memory, which is a bummer.
We just set up an RS3621xs+ with 64GB of RAM and a whopping 72TB of storage. If you go this route, make sure you get their RAM and HDDs to ensure you get full support from Synology.

If you only need 20TB, you might want to consider simpler options like the DS model with 4 slots. Get one with 10GbE and NVMe cache, and you could easily set it up with 4x20TB drives in RAID 6 for 40TB raw capacity.
