Why Am I Getting Ads and Errors After Subscribing to ChatGPT?

I've been using GPT for about a year now on the free level and it's been pretty awesome for chatting, fixing computer issues, doing small coding tasks, and even some image generation. Recently, I decided to upgrade to a subscription for a month to tackle a larger image project, signing up on the 6th of this month. Since then, my experience has taken a turn for the worse with the introduction of ads, frequent request timeouts, and a ton of content violations for things that seem completely harmless. I'm curious if anything might have changed around the time I subscribed or if I've just been unlucky since paying for the service.

I can't believe you're getting ads! That's so odd, I've never seen those while using ChatGPT. Request timeouts and errors do happen sometimes, especially since Plus users get access to new features first and they tend to roll them out quickly. But ads? That isn't normal at all.

Yeah, those content violations are baffling! It does sound like a bit of bad luck. Maybe there's a glitch with your account after subscribing? It might be worth reaching out to support, but I totally get your frustration.

I know, right? I’ve had instances where mentioning certain things, like my images, led GPT to suggest related items for purchase, and I found that pretty weird. It was like I was being served ads instead of just having a regular chat! It's honestly frustrating when you're trying to focus on your project and keep getting interrupted by content violations for innocent requests.
