Why Am I Getting Low FPS in Competitive Games?

Hey everyone, I'm experiencing low FPS while playing games like Valorant and CS:GO. I expect to see a performance boost of about 20-50%, but I'm also getting some noticeable FPS drops. Here are my current specs: I'm using an RX 9070 XT graphics card, an Intel i5 14600KF processor, a B760 Asrock motherboard, an 850W PSU, and 32GB of 6000MHz DDR5 RAM. Any ideas on what might be causing these issues?

It seems like your setup should definitely handle those games without a hitch. A lot can affect FPS drops, like the game being on an HDD instead of an SSD, or even background apps eating up resources. Double-check your game settings too; sometimes, adjusting a few options can help smooth things out. Also, how's your cooling? Overheating can throttle performance.

Good point about the SSD! I had a similar issue before switching to an SSD and it made a world of difference.

Sounds like a solid build, but have you made sure your drivers are up to date? Sometimes a simple update can boost performance. Also, check if any background software might be hogging your CPU or RAM while you play. Little things like that can really impact your FPS.

Thanks! I’ll look into the drivers and see what’s running in the background.
