Why Am I Getting Low FPS in CS2 with My New PC Setup?

I just built my first PC with an RTX 5060 GPU and an i5 12600K processor, and everything is running smoothly. However, I'm only getting around 250 FPS on low settings in Counter-Strike 2, which seems really low to me. My GPU usage is only about 15% during gameplay, and the temperatures are fine. I expected to hit 350-450 FPS with this setup. Is there something wrong, or is this expected performance?

Have you checked what other components you have in your PC? Just mentioning the 5060 and 12600K doesn't give the full picture. Your overall setup can really impact your performance.

CS2 isn’t very optimized compared to CS:GO. The graphics settings matter less than your resolution when it comes to FPS. High settings could worsen performance due to how the game utilizes the GPU. Focus on getting the 1% and 0.1% lows addressed—they're a more reliable measure than average FPS.

Exactly! Chasing high FPS numbers can be misleading with CS2. The game's optimization issues make it hard to pinpoint the performance without testing different settings.

Is your FPS locked at 250? That might be a cap set in the game settings. Double-check if there are any FPS limiters activated.
