I recently upgraded to a 4K monitor, and I've noticed that my FPS has dropped significantly in games like Marvel Rivals and Fortnite. My previous setup with a 1080p monitor was giving me 150+ FPS on low settings, but now I'm only getting 60-90 FPS even at 1080p resolution, and it feels worse because of heavy drops. Surprisingly, I'm seeing slightly better FPS at 4K and much better at 1440p. I'm using a pretty solid setup: 4x16 GB DDR4 RAM, Intel i9-10900KF CPU, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, but it seems like my GPU is underperforming. My GPU utilization is maxed out at 100%, while my CPU is around 80-90%. I can't figure out if it's malware, a PSU wattage issue, or something else entirely. Could someone help me identify what the problem might be?

You might be experiencing a CPU bottleneck, even with a powerful i9-10900KF. Some games don’t utilize multiple cores well, so if the game is hitting single-core limits, that could affect your FPS at 1080p.
It sounds like your GPU is maxed out at 100%, which is normal for a 3070 trying to run games at 4K, even on low settings. This card really isn't designed for 4K gaming, especially with newer titles. To get more insight, consider running benchmarks like 3DMark to see how your PC stacks up against similar builds.
What driver version are you running for your GPU? Keeping drivers up to date can significantly impact performance.
Quick check—are you sure your monitor is plugged into your graphics card and not the motherboard? I know this sounds silly, but it’s easy to mix things up, and the performance drop could be related.
Yeah, I'm plugged into the graphics card. I double-checked to make sure I didn’t mix anything up.
Good thing you checked! Just to add, GPU-to-iGPU passthrough can happen, so it’s always smart to verify connections.
