I've got a 3060 Ti and a Ryzen 7 5700X, but I'm struggling with low FPS in competitive games. For example, in CS2 deathmatch, I sometimes drop as low as 90 FPS, even though my CPU is only hitting about 40% usage and my GPU is sitting at just 20%. I'm playing at stretched resolution and have everything set to low graphics. Fortnite shows similar results, with only around 100 FPS and frequent drops. The only games where I'm happy with performance are AAA titles, where the GPU ramps up to about 90% usage and my FPS matches benchmarks. I also do some local AI work where my CPU and GPU are fully utilized, so I know my PC can handle it. I'm just puzzled why it underperforms in games, especially since I have a 240Hz monitor to take advantage of.

What RAM speed are you using? If it's 2133MHz, you might be missing out on some significant performance, especially since Ryzen CPUs can be sensitive to RAM speeds. If you used to run XMP but had blue screens, make sure you figure out what that issue was. Honestly, upgrading your RAM could really help with those FPS drops.
You might want to check the individual core usage stats on your CPU. Sometimes, the overall percentage can be misleading. For instance, with an 8-core CPU like the 5700X, 40% usage could mean that 4 cores are heavily taxed while others are idle. This isn't normal for games like CS2, so there could be something else going on, maybe even malware.

Yeah, my RAM's older—2133MHz. I disabled XMP because of the blue screens. I might just bite the bullet and upgrade them; I'm just really tired of this issue!
