I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1070 Ti to an RX 9070 XT, but now I'm experiencing lower FPS and stuttering in online games like Fortnite, CS2, and Dota 2. Surprisingly, single-player games such as The Last of Us 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 run just fine, just as I expected. In Fortnite, for instance, I'm getting around 200 FPS with significant stutters, whereas I used to hit around 250 FPS in performance mode on the old GPU. Even though it performs well at 250 FPS in DirectX 12 mode, I still feel like something's off since other setups on YouTube are getting about 400 FPS under similar conditions. My Dota 2 FPS remains unchanged at about 150-200, while CS2 has seen a slight boost from 200 to 300 FPS.
My current setup includes:
- GPU: Hellhound RX 9070 XT
- CPU: i5-13600KF
- RAM: 32GB DDR5
- Power Supply: 850W
I've done several things to troubleshoot, including changing the XMP profile, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with DDU, reinstalling Windows, optimizing my Windows settings, overclocking, and undervolting. My thoughts lean towards CPU being the issue since I bought it just 7 months ago, and I'm hoping that's not the case. If anyone has any insights or needs more information from my side, feel free to ask!

Have you tried updating your motherboard BIOS? If it’s an older version, it might not fully support your new Intel 13th/14th gen CPU, which could be contributing to your performance issues. Keeping your BIOS up to date can resolve many compatibility problems. Also, monitoring your CPU usage during different games might help pinpoint the issue better.
I haven’t updated it yet. It’s on version F7. Before the GPU upgrade, I was fine, but now I'm worried about BIOS settings leading to issues. Would you suggest just updating now?
