I've got an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 26.2, and I'm facing a weird issue. When I'm in my work truck and connected to Bluetooth (which I have to do for hands-free driving), I don't receive any sound notifications for incoming messages. They also don't appear on my lock screen, and it seems like they're 'opened' automatically without me knowing. This means that when I unlock my phone, I often miss important texts for hours because I have no indication that I received any new messages. Interestingly, this issue seems to be isolated to text messages only; all other apps send notifications just fine. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

It sounds like the 'opened automatically' issue isn’t normal. This could be linked to a Focus mode setting on your phone. Sometimes, Focus modes can turn on automatically without needing any user action. Go to Settings > Focus > Driving and check the settings for 'While Driving.' If it’s set to activate with CarPlay or Bluetooth, you might want to switch it to 'Activate Manually' or remove it altogether.
Do you have any other Apple devices, like a Mac or iPad, set up to forward your messages? Also, have you changed your phone’s system time for any reason? That could sometimes mess with notifications.
