I've been noticing that when I play resource-intensive games like Battlefield 6 or Monster Hunter: World, my CPU and GPU temperatures spike significantly, even when I'm just on the main menu. I have an Omen Max 16 with a 5070ti, and my average CPU temperature is around 90 Celsius while my GPU is at about 85. Can anyone help explain why this is happening? Unfortunately, I can't post any photos of my HWinfo data to show the stats.

If you're using a laptop, those temperatures are pretty typical under load. To help lower them, you can try capping your frame rates, increasing the fan speed, or even repasting your CPU and GPU if you're comfortable doing that. Also, keeping your room cooler can make a difference.
Thanks for the advice! I didn't know temps varied so much between laptops and desktops, but it makes sense now.
