I'm really stressed out right now and could use some advice. Recently, my friends have been receiving a pop-up notification in our chat that says, 'Look out for unusual requests — Unusual requests for money or personal info may be a sign that my account was stolen.' I've done everything I can think of to secure my account:
- Changed my Facebook password
- Tried 2-Step Verification (turned it off later)
- Checked for active sessions and devices — only my device is logged in
- Looked through Messenger and Facebook for odd messages — nothing unusual
- Changed the email connected to Facebook
- Checked for strange emails — found none
- Reviewed IP locations — only mine is logged in
- Updated both Facebook and Messenger apps
- Reported the issue to Facebook
Despite all that, my friends keep getting that warning when they open our chat. Some got it immediately, while others noticed it while we were chatting. I feel embarrassed, like my account is suspicious when I haven't done anything wrong. I'm worried about being shadowbanned or flagged mistakenly. Has anyone else gone through this? Is it fixable or does it pass over time?

Don't stress too much! It's good that you've enabled 2-Step Verification. That really helps. Sometimes, Facebook rolls out new features that might only affect some accounts, or it could just be a glitch. Just keep your account secure and ignore the warnings for now.
This notification could be a new feature Facebook is testing or a glitch in their system. I've noticed a bunch of accounts getting hacked or impersonated lately, so this might be a response to that. Just keep an eye on your account for now!
I understand that, but my account is real, and I'm not impersonating anyone! I’ve taken all the necessary precautions. Do you think it’s just a glitch?
Thanks! I just feel like it's been happening constantly since yesterday, and it's worrying. I just want it to stop.
