I just built my first PC, and I'm having a major issue with games running way worse than I expected. Titles like Spider-Man and Cyberpunk should play smoothly according to the specs, but they're lagging like crazy. Here's what I'm working with: a B850 Aorus Elite WIFI7 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, a Gigabyte 5060 Windforce OC GPU with 8GB VRAM, and 32GB of RAM. I've checked that all my drivers and updates are up to date, but things still aren't working right. Any tips on what I might be missing?

Just a reminder, make sure your monitor is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. That’s a common oversight that can lead to performance issues!
Have you tried using a hardware monitoring tool? It can help you see if any component isn’t operating at full capacity. That way, you can pinpoint the problem more effectively.
Which hardware monitor would you recommend? I'm not sure where to start.
Make sure your RAM is installed in slots 2 and 4 and that you have EXPO enabled in the BIOS. Also, double-check that your graphics settings are suitable for your GPU's capabilities. Sometimes lowering the settings helps a lot!
I have the RAM in slots 2 and 4, but EXPO wasn’t an option. I even tried the lowest settings on the games and it's still laggy.
XMP or EXPO should definitely be enabled in your BIOS to boost memory performance. If it causes a black screen, you may have to reset to factory settings, but that’s usually a good sign your memory isn’t set up right.
I tried turning on XMP, but it blackscreened and I had to go back to factory settings; EXPO isn’t available for me.
I've already checked and the monitor is definitely connected to my GPU.
