I've been experiencing longer loading times for a few games, specifically Roblox, Genshin Impact, and Star Stable. It's been like this for several months now. For example, when I start Roblox, I get a white screen for a bit before it finally loads. Genshin shows the Hoyoverse logo but then gets stuck on a white screen for a while, and the launcher for Star Stable takes ages to open. On a few rare occasions, everything has loaded quickly again, but those times don't last long.
My PC is relatively new—I built it around mid-August 2025 with some help from my sister. I added an extra two sticks of 8GB RAM at the end of August, but I noticed the slow loading times before that. I've run the Windows memory diagnostic tool twice, but it showed no issues. I suspect my SSD might be the problem, but it doesn't seem to be failing. Here are my specs:
- GPU: RTX GeForce 5070 Ti
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- RAM: 32GB DDR5 (4x8)
- SSD: Kingston NV3 4TB (with about 1TB space left)
- PSU: 850W
I'm open to trying anything to fix this, other than a complete reset that would erase my files.

First, check if all your RAM sticks match in speed and timings, and see if you have AMD EXPO configured in your BIOS. Having 4 sticks can sometimes lead to issues because the CPU only has 2 channels for RAM. If you notice mismatched timings, it can cause slowdowns or interference. One thing you could try is removing the two new sticks to see if it fixes the loading times—this would drop you to 16GB of RAM, but it could help diagnose the issue. If it works, consider getting a 32GB kit with just two sticks. RAM prices are good now, so you might get a decent return by selling the 4 sticks you have.
You might want to get the Kingston SSD Manager software to check your SSD’s health. It has a section for wear and health, which can give you insights into what might be going wrong. Some users reported slowdowns when their SSD ran out of cache, but typically that’s linked to writing data rather than just reading it for game loading.
Great, I’ll download that software and see what it says about my SSD. I wasn’t aware there was a specific tool for Kingston drives. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll check the RAM specs tomorrow. I think the sticks should match since I ordered them together, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I had no idea that 2 sticks could be better than 4. If the loading doesn’t improve, I’ll give your suggestion a shot.
