Why Are My Games Running So Slowly on My New Build?

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to building PCs and could use some help. I just put together my new build and thought everything was working fine. However, when I tried to play games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Dead by Daylight, they were running really slowly with jerky movements—basically unplayable. Here's a quick rundown of my build:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 4.4 GHz 12-Core
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E ATX AM5
- **Memory:** 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30
- **Storage:** 4 TB PCIe NVME SSD
- **Video Card:** NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
- **Monitor:** KOORUI S01 21.4" 100 Hz
- **Power Supply:** 750 W 80+ Gold

I just want to know if there might be something obvious I'm missing that could cause this issue. I've checked that my drivers are installed, but I think it could potentially be the GPU. Any ideas on what to look at next?

First off, make sure you're plugging your monitor into the GPU's video output, not the motherboard's. That could definitely be causing your issues! Also, was your Windows installation fresh? If it was an older version, you might need to use DDU to remove your graphics drivers and install them fresh.

It's connected via HDMI to the GPU, so that's good. But, it was a fresh install of Windows!
