Hey everyone! I just upgraded my CPU from a 5800X to a 9800X3D, installed inside a Fractal North case with a Deepcool Assassin 4S cooler. I've noticed some strange behavior: my CPU temperatures are around 60°C when idle and get up to about 70°C while gaming, rarely reaching 75°C. I also noticed that my CPU usage sometimes hits 100% for no clear reason (I'm running Windows 11). During Multi-Core Cinebench, it hits 90°C, which seems normal, but it also spikes when I start Fortnite. Do you think I messed up the thermal paste application? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Your temperatures actually seem pretty normal. Idle temps aren't really that important; it’s under load where you should look out for high values. The spike in CPU usage when booting Fortnite is likely due to shader compilation, which can put extra stress on your CPU. You might want to check the resource monitor to see what's causing those 100% usage peaks.
It seems like the CPU usage adjusts based on what I have open. For instance, when HWInfo and Task Manager are both running, they share about 15% each, but if I close HWInfo, Task Manager spikes to around 22%.
