I recently purchased a Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E ATX AM5 motherboard along with an MSI MAG A750GLS PCIE5 750 W power supply. Although the CPU and PCIe connections on both the motherboard and power supply seem to fit all the right shapes, I'm having major issues with the 2x4 cords. None of the cords that came with the power supply match the shapes needed. Additionally, there's a 2x2 connection on the motherboard for which I have no corresponding cable from the power supply. After spending four frustrating hours assembling the components, I'm confused about why these supposedly compatible parts aren't working together. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

If the shapes connect, you should be fine. Just ensure you're plugging in the right cables. Sometimes shapes can be confusing, but they'll usually fit if they're meant for that slot.
Could you post some pictures of the connections? This can help us figure out if you're dealing with different shapes or configurations. It could be that you’re over-complicating things.
The shapes don't need to match perfectly. As long as you're using the correct CPU cable that came with the PSU and connecting it properly, it should fit just fine. Just plug it in, and see if it works!
