I recently moved countries and since then, I've faced nothing but problems with new SSDs I bought. I have 2 Kingston drives that work perfectly, recognized by both Windows and BIOS. However, every new SSD I've purchased, including 2 Samsung drives, is showing up as "SSD 1TB" instead of their actual names. They also fail within a few days of use and Samsung Magician doesn't recognize them at all. I've even updated the BIOS and bought new cables but nothing has helped. All the packaging looks official and I'm positive they're genuine products. What could be going wrong?

I hear you! It seems odd that you’d get a bad run from two different vendors. Have you checked if they're legit by comparing them with online reviews and images? You might be dealing with fakes or at least a bad batch. If you can share pictures of the drives, it might help the community troubleshoot further.
Sounds like you've had a rough time! Make sure you're buying from reputable sellers. Sometimes, it’s better to go directly through the manufacturer than a third-party site, especially with SSDs that might have been tampered with. You should definitely consider returning the drives as defective if they're not working properly. Sometimes you just get bad luck with batches, especially if they come from different suppliers.

Here are some pictures of the drives to show that they’re genuine: [Image1](https://preview.redd.it/retdzye2407g1.jpeg?width=2296&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37de38121fa48f5447bb53195ff95502d1b873f3) [Image2](https://preview.redd.it/0szm26g6407g1.jpeg?width=2296&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0ed365d70034ca725466120431cb590d75a0cea) [Image3](https://preview.redd.it/tjq5x0za407g1.png?width=720&format=png&auto=webp&s=a534de0417f1e048d76a7e5837625e8c3d176771). Any thoughts on this?
