Why is my PC running hot with a new cooler?

Hey everyone, I'm new here and could use some help. I recently built a new gaming rig featuring an R7 9700X processor, but I'm noticing it idles at around 60°C, and when I'm gaming, it jumps to about 85°C. I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer III ARGB Pro cooler because I love the way AIOs look and have had great experiences with them in the past. In my previous build with an i9 11900K, I used the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity 360, which kept the temps at 36-40°C at idle and around 65°C while gaming. Am I dealing with a faulty AIO, or is something else going on here?

Have you checked to make sure that you removed the protective sticker from the cooler's cold plate? Sometimes people forget, and that can cause overheating issues.

I think I did remember to take it off when I put everything together.
