Why Are My Videos All the Same?

I've been experiencing a strange issue with my phone's gallery. After recording several videos for a project, every new video I make ends up being the exact same 6-second clip from earlier in the day, despite being recorded at different times. I've tried restarting my phone and force stopping the gallery app, but nothing seems to work. I also use an SD card for storage, and I'm wondering if that might be part of the problem. Has anyone encountered this issue or have any suggestions on what to do?

It sounds like you might need to clear the cache for both your camera and gallery apps. Sometimes that can resolve weird glitches like this. Just a heads up, clearing the cache shouldn't delete your photos, but it can help fix performance issues. Also, take a look at your storage—if you're running low on space, that could affect how your videos are recorded. Using an SD card for storage can create issues if it’s failing too. You might want to check that out!

So I cleared the cache on both the gallery and camera apps, but I can't force stop the camera app since it doesn’t give me the option. It's still acting up, though.

It sounds like your SD card could be the culprit here. Since you mentioned it's set as your storage path for videos and it’s causing problems, it might be worth troubleshooting it. Try switching to your phone’s internal storage like you did before, and if the issues stop, definitely consider backing up any important files from the SD card and running a diagnostic on it. Sometimes they can get corrupted. If the problems persist, it may be time for a new card.

Yeah, switching back to internal storage fixed the issue. But I'm worried about the SD card now. Is there a simple way to check if it's failing?
