Why Are So Many New iPhone 17 Pros Malfunctioning?

Hey everyone, I just got the iPhone 17 Pro and it's been super glitchy right out of the box. As a long-time iPhone user, I'm pretty disappointed! Last night, while watching a YouTube video, my battery died unexpectedly and now my phone won't turn back on at all. I tried force resetting it, but no luck. I've noticed this seems to be a widespread issue—do you think Apple might recall these new phones given how many people are experiencing problems?

Tens of thousands? Really? I haven't seen much buzz about it. I guess even if there are some problems, it’s likely a tiny fraction of all the units sold. Remember, nothing's perfect!

Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not a big deal. A quick search shows lots of folks discussing these issues. Why the resistance to acknowledging it?

It sounds like a hard reset could do the trick! Just press the volume up, then the volume down, and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo. That usually works.

Did you start fresh when setting up your new phone, or did you migrate from an old one? I haven’t heard many complaints about issues, so just curious!

Have you tried doing a forced reset while your phone is plugged in? Sometimes that helps. Also, if you can, connect it to a computer and check if you can enter recovery mode.
