I'm facing an issue with my B850-P motherboard where the CPU and DRAM indicator lights are red, and it won't boot into the BIOS. I'm uncertain what the problem could be, and I would genuinely appreciate any help or suggestions.

Okay, here’s a checklist you can follow:
1. Ensure the CPU is seated correctly.
2. Double-check that the RAM sticks are fully in place.
3. Verify all PSU cables connected to the motherboard.
4. If possible, change the RAM configuration—try one stick at a time or swap slots.
5. Inspect the RAM for defects.
6. Do the same with the CPU; look for any bent pins.
7. If you have access to another CPU or RAM, see if they work with your board.

I've already done the first six steps, but I don't have spare parts to test further.

First thing to check is if you've securely plugged in the CPU connector. Sometimes it's easy to overlook. Make sure those cables are tight!

I did connect the two 8-pin cables at the top; everything seems fine there.

It might be worth checking the BIOS version. According to MSI's site, you might need to Q-Flash if you don’t have at least version 7E56v2A2. Did you try that?

I attempted the Q-Flash, but it just rebooted without resolving the issue.

What CPU are you using? It can help narrow down compatibility issues.

I'm using a Ryzen 5 9600X.
