Why Aren’t My Keyboard, Touchpad, and Screen Working During Windows 11 Installation?

I'm having trouble with my Samsung Galaxy Book S where the keyboard, touchpad, and screen stop responding during the installation of Windows 11. They work perfectly fine at the boot screen, but once I get to the installation phase, nothing responds. I've already tried using an external adapter and toggling the secure boot settings, but neither helped. Any suggestions?

It sounds like this could be a driver issue. Have you tried connecting your laptop to an external display? Sometimes that can help troubleshoot whether it's a hardware response issue or related to the software setup. Just a thought!

I haven't tested connecting to an external display yet. I'll buy an adapter and give it a shot.

Just a heads-up: making changes to your BIOS or disk settings can risk losing your data. Always back up important files before you start troubleshooting your system. Good luck with your installation!

The problem likely stems from missing drivers for your keyboard, touchpad, and other I/O devices during the Windows 11 setup process. First, check which CPU your model uses—it's available in Intel Lakefield (x86) or Qualcomm Snapdragon (ARM). You can check this in your BIOS or on the original packaging. Knowing this will help in getting the right drivers sorted out for installation!

My model indeed has the Intel Lakefield (x86) processor.
