Why aren’t my messages syncing between my iPhone, MacBook, and iPad?

I'm having trouble with my iPad and MacBook not sending or receiving SMS messages like they used to. The option to send messages as SMS instead of iMessage isn't showing up anymore, and I noticed that messages aren't syncing in real time across my devices. I thought this might be due to having messages disconnected from iCloud on my phone or other devices, but everything is connected properly. I've also tried disconnecting and reconnecting iCloud for messages, but that didn't help. It seems like the issue is affecting both my iPad and MacBook at once. Usually, software updates fix these problems, but there aren't any updates available right now. If anyone has tips on how to resolve this permanently, I would really appreciate it!

Your iPad and MacBook need to have SMS forwarding enabled to send or receive SMS. Check your iPhone settings and ensure SMS forwarding is on for both devices. If it's showing 'yes' but no toggle, it might be an issue with syncing between devices. Try resetting your network settings on your iPhone and see if that helps!

Thanks for the response! I did check the settings, and everything looks fine. Maybe I need to sign out and back into iCloud to refresh things? I’ll give that a try!
