Why Aren’t My RGB Fans Working After Replacing My Motherboard?

I recently swapped out my motherboard for a B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac and upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800XT. Now, I'm using a Thermaltake View 31 case that has Riing 14 RGB fans. Everything seems to work just fine; my computer boots up perfectly, but I'm having trouble with the fans. They light up and spin for a moment when I power on, but then they just stop once the system fully boots. I've confirmed all the connections to the fans, the fan controller, and the motherboard are secure. They were functioning properly before the upgrade, and I need them running due to the heat where I live. Any suggestions?

Getting a fresh install of Windows can be tricky if you don't have a key. You can create a bootable USB drive from another computer if that's an option for you. But if you're stuck with the watermark, it's definitely frustrating! Trying to reset your PC can also work, but keep in mind that if startup repair fails, you may need to try reinstalling a couple of times. Have you looked into reinstalling the RAM as well? It didn't work for me either, but it's worth a shot!

Switching motherboards can lead to a whole bunch of headaches. First off, you might want to consider doing a fresh installation of Windows, just to be safe. If that's already done, then you might want to try reseating your RAM. Sometimes, that can help get everything in sync. Also, check if the XMP profile is off; it might be named differently for AMD setups. You could start with just one stick of RAM and see if that changes anything.
