I've run into a tricky situation with my new Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 kit. Initially, I managed to get it to boot and even overclock to 3600MHz. I don't recall exactly what I tweaked in the BIOS, but I slowly increased the DRAM frequency by 133MHz at a time. Before I installed the second stick, I lowered the frequency to 1600MHz, hoping it would help the memory controller adapt. Strangely, that worked the first time. However, after a failed attempt to switch my motherboard (I bought a B550 that wouldn't even boot with one stick), I now can only boot with one stick at a time, even though both sticks work individually.
