Why can’t I enable Secure Boot on my laptop?

I've been having trouble with my laptop (Legion 5-15IMH05H) regarding Secure Boot. A few months ago while playing Valorant, I got kicked out with an error code suggesting that UEFI Secure Boot needs to be enabled. Every time I go into the BIOS (version efcn59ww) to enable it, it won't stick. My Intel PTT/TPM is stuck in Manufacturing mode, and I can't change that either. Despite my efforts—including updating drivers, reinstalling Valorant/Vanguard, checking for BIOS updates which I couldn't find, using the Novo button, resetting factory keys, and even setting an administrative password—nothing has worked. The BIOS seems limited, possibly because it's stuck in Manufacturing mode. Things seemed to change after a Windows 11 update back in October 2025. I'm open to any suggestions at this stage, as replacing my laptop isn't an option for me. Would getting help from Geek Squad be worthwhile, or am I just out of luck?

It sounds like your BIOS is indeed locked in Manufacturing Mode, which can happen for various reasons. Unfortunately, this prevents changes like enabling Secure Boot. Have you tried restoring factory keys in the Security tab? Sometimes that can help reset things. Just remember, even if it says 'Disabled', keep an eye on the settings after a reboot. It might revert back only if there's a glitch, but it's worth a shot!

If you want your PC to last longer, I would recommend uninstalling Valorant along with Vanguard. Some users have found that these programs can cause issues with system settings and overall performance. After uninstalling, make sure to check your registry and local AppData for remnants of the game. It might be a hassle, but it could help with long-term stability!

Can I ask why I should uninstall? I’ve had the game since I got the laptop and this is the first time it’s caused problems.
