I'm a cybersecurity student who's really gotten into Linux while working towards my certification. I started studying for the RHCSA and actually really enjoyed it. However, I'm facing a bit of a challenge because I can't find any junior Linux sysadmin roles in Sydney, Australia. I've checked job sites like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Seek, but all I see are senior-level positions. It's frustrating because I love studying for this cert, but I'm not sure if it's worth finishing if there are no entry-level jobs available. Any thoughts on this situation?

It sounds like you're in a tough spot! Many companies prefer to hire experienced sysadmins because they want someone who can hit the ground running. But have you thought about looking at adjacent positions, like support roles or even internships? They can often lead to sysadmin jobs down the line. Also, expanding your job search beyond Sydney might open up more opportunities for you.
I feel your pain! The job market can be really tricky right now. I'd recommend checking out tech meetups or local networking events. Sometimes jobs aren’t posted online but are filled through connections. It could be a good way to get your foot in the door!

Great idea! I’ll definitely consider widening my search. Thanks for the suggestion!
