Why can’t I get my PC to display on my TV via HDMI?

I'm having trouble connecting my PC to my Panasonic TC-L32C20B TV using HDMI. The setup works well with my monitor, but nothing shows up on the TV when I plug in the HDMI cable. I've already tried switching HDMI ports, using different cables, adjusting the resolution to 720p and even lower, and I've tested it with both Windows 11 and FedoraOS. My drivers and OS are all updated too. I even turned off the Viera Link option on the TV and tried powering everything up in different sequences. My PC specs are Intel 12400, GTX 1030, with 16GB of RAM. The TV is old but works fine with my Nintendo Switch. Any thoughts?

Older TVs can be tricky. According to the manual, your TV supports certain HDMI modes: 640x480 at 60Hz, 720p at 60Hz, and 1080p at 60Hz. Make sure you're setting the resolution to 720p at 60Hz. Sometimes old TVs just can't handle more modern resolutions from GPUs.

Have you checked the screen projection settings on your PC? Sometimes it doesn't automatically detect the TV as an external screen. You might need to manually select it from the display options to get it working.

Yep, make sure to look in the display settings to see if your laptop is recognizing the TV at all.

If it's a desktop, just remember it only has one HDMI out from the GPU.
