I recently got a new Dell 16 Plus laptop running Windows 11 Home, and while Microsoft Edge works perfectly fine as a web browser, I'm having trouble with other browsers like Firefox and Google Chrome. When I try to open them, they initially show up as a white square on the screen and then just close immediately. All my other applications seem to work without any issues, so I'm not sure what's causing this. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any ideas on what might be going wrong?

If the other browsers are crashing on startup, it could be a settings issue or a software conflict. Make sure your Windows is updated and consider reinstalling the browsers to see if that helps. Sometimes a clean install can fix weird issues like this. And don't forget to check your data backups before making big changes just in case!
It sounds like you're confusing search engines with browsers—Edge is a browser, not a search engine. Microsoft really pushes Edge, and if you try to switch to another browser, Windows may prompt you with all sorts of messages trying to keep you on Edge. Try changing your default browser in the Windows settings. Just be prepared for a few annoying pop-ups trying to dissuade you from leaving Edge!
Yes, exactly! Those prompts can be frustrating, but switching should be possible.
