I've got a 500GB external hard drive that used to have a custom name, but after using it on Windows 10, it suddenly reverted to the default name (Local Disk). Now, I can't change the name back no matter what I try. I've followed several suggestions I found online, but nothing has worked. What are my options now?

Actually, if the drive is working perfectly on other computers but the name remains unchanged, it might just be a little glitch with the way Windows is reading it. It might help to safely eject the drive, unplug it, and then plug it back in to see if the name refreshes.
Is your drive functioning properly aside from the name issue? Sometimes, external drives might reset to default settings after being plugged into different systems. Have you tried plugging it back into the original computer you used it with?
