Why Can’t I Save Contacts to My SIM Card on Android?

I've noticed that when I create a new contact on my Android phone, I can choose to save it either to my device or my Google account, but there's no option available for saving it to my SIM card. I've searched through the Google Contacts app but couldn't find any option for this. The only thing I found was a method to export contacts from the SIM card, but not the other way around. What am I missing?

You might want to check your phone's default contacts app instead of just Google Contacts. Sometimes, the option to save to the SIM is hidden there. Also, keep in mind that if you have too many contacts or any with special characters, it may not let you export them to the SIM card at all.

That’s interesting! I have a different phone brand, and my default app has the option to save to SIM. But doesn't it sound like a hassle if you can't even do it with the built-in apps? Just searching for a solution can be frustrating.
