Why Can’t I Shrink My SSD Partition More Than 300MB?

I'm trying to shrink my 500GB SSD, which currently has about 200GB of free space. However, whenever I attempt to shrink the partition, it only lets me reduce it by 366MB. I've already turned off paging and defragmented the drive, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Any suggestions on what I can do?

The built-in Windows partition tool doesn’t do the best job at shrinking partitions. You might want to try third-party software like EaseUS or DiskGenius, as they usually provide better results. Many users find they can shrink their partitions much more effectively with these tools than with Windows' default options.

Thanks for the suggestion! I went ahead and used DiskGenius, and it worked great—moved the data to the beginning of the partition and everything.
