I've managed to get GitHub Desktop installed on Ubuntu, but I'm having trouble when trying to sign in. Every time I log in with my GitHub account, the app restarts and asks me to sign in again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions would be really helpful!

I totally get your frustration! But have you thought about switching to the command line interface (CLI) for Git? It can be a bit daunting at first, but it's super powerful and universal across all systems. Plus, once you get the hang of it, it's often faster than using a GUI like GitHub Desktop. It could be a great learning opportunity for you!

Haha, right? CLI is always touted as the best way! Just a heads up though, I get that you're recommending it, but I actually had GitHub Desktop running perfectly on an older Linux Mint machine without a GPU. Just not on Ubuntu for some reason.
