I've been using my Windows PC to sync ebooks and PDFs to my iPad Pro 2nd Generation for years without any issues. However, after trying to add a new PDF this morning, I realized that all my 3rd party ebooks and PDFs that were stored on the device have disappeared. I attempted a restore, but now I'm unable to transfer any files to the iPad using the Apple Devices app. It's not letting me do it at all. I really don't want to use iCloud since I have too much content and I don't want to pay for extra storage. The device has plenty of space available. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

First off, check if your iPad is fully updated. Sometimes compatibility issues can pop up with outdated software. Also, make sure you have enough storage on your iPad—good to know you have 166GB free since the restore! But it might be worth trying to just remove and reinstall the Apple Devices app to see if that clears up any glitches.
Are you sure you're using the right syncing method? Sometimes, you might need to re-authorize your device. If possible, try connecting your iPad and refreshing the devices in the app. If things still aren't working, it could be worth diving into your syncing settings on your Windows PC too. Just a thought!
