I recently upgraded my RAM in my gaming rig, but surprisingly, my FPS in Valorant dropped from around 300 to 150. Even though I now have more RAM, it's performing worse. Here are my specs: CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, motherboard is a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2, and the new RAM is Corsair CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18 DDR4. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Have you checked your BIOS settings? Sometimes, when you install new RAM, it doesn't automatically adjust to the new specs. You might need to enable XMP or EXPO in your BIOS to ensure your new RAM runs at its intended speed of 3600 CL18. Also, double-check if you're running two sticks or four, as that can impact performance too.
I totally get that! It's my first time messing with BIOS too. Any step-by-step tutorials you know of?
Another thing to consider is whether your RAM is seated properly. If it's loose, it can cause performance issues. Also, make sure your motherboard is updated to the latest BIOS version. That can sometimes help with compatibility and performance.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check if it’s seated right.
I didn’t think about that! I'll make sure to double-check everything. Appreciate it!
What specific settings do I need to change for XMP? I'm a bit lost here.
