I was doing some homework on my laptop when suddenly the internet disconnected and the WiFi option disappeared. This freaked me out because the last time this happened, my entire laptop ended up not working. I'm not sure what caused it back then, but I think it might have had something to do with the disk or something similar. After the disconnection, I tried to restart my laptop, but it took a long time, and a message popped up saying there was a problem that needed a restart. What could be going on?

You can do this by pressing Windows + R and typing devmgmt.msc. Hit enter, and you'll see the device manager. Look for your WiFi card under the network adapters section.
Don't stress too much! These kinds of issues can pop up with Windows sometimes, and they aren't always serious.
If the WiFi icon is back, then it seems like you've resolved the issue! If it disappears again, consider downloading the WiFi driver from the Asus website onto a USB drive and reinstalling it from there.
Thanks! I’m still worried because I saw a message that said my device had a problem, and someone mentioned it might mean that something lost power. Could that be serious?
It sounds like your issue might be related to the WiFi device driver. Try reinstalling the driver to see if that helps.
How do I check for that?

I restarted the laptop and the WiFi is back up now!
