I brought my PC to a repair shop because it was crashing frequently whenever I connected or disconnected a display, and sometimes even at random times. However, when I got it back, the crashing stopped completely, even though I set it up the same way I had it before. I'm curious about what external devices could potentially cause a crash. I currently have two displays, a keyboard, a mouse, a printer, a LAN cable, a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antenna, and a headset. Just to provide some context, when it was crashing, the picture would freeze, but the sound would continue for a few moments.

It sounds like your video card might have been overheating or failing. If the repair guys checked to ensure everything was seated properly, that might have been the key. Overheating can definitely cause those kinds of crashes, especially if you're using multiple displays.
