Why Did My PC Suddenly Fill Up 200GB of Storage?

I noticed that my PC storage has unexpectedly filled up with 200GB of data. Everything seemed fine just yesterday, and when I checked for large files, I couldn't find anything over 4GB. I'm looking for suggestions on what might be taking up all this space and how to find it. Any help would be appreciated!

You should try using Windirstat to see what's really taking up space on your drive. It gives a visual representation of your storage usage, which can help identify the culprits more easily.

When you searched for large files, did you ensure that the search included system files? If you only searched local drives, some files might be hidden from that search.

Consider checking your browser cache and temporary directories. Sometimes those can accumulate a lot of data without you realizing it. Also, Windows updates can be hefty, so they might be a factor too.

Have you looked at your OneDrive or Google Drive? It's a long shot, but sometimes files syncing from the cloud can fill up your storage unexpectedly. More likely, it’s those temp files or cache that are causing the issue.

If you’re using any Dell software, check for a support assist backup program. They can sometimes malfunction and use a lot more space than they should.
