I built my PC in 2017 with two 2TB HDDs set up in RAID 1 as a storage solution. Fast forward to late 2024, I rebuilt my PC and added a new RAID 1 setup with two 8TB HDDs, and also included two 2TB M.2 drives to use as my boot and working drives. Up until recently, my system was working smoothly, though I did encounter some permission issues with certain folders on the old drives. I struggled to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 for a long time, but decided to give it another shot when I replaced a failing boot drive and reinstalled Windows 10. Everything, including access to my RAID drives, was functioning perfectly until I finally upgraded to Windows 11. Afterwards, my old RAID drive shows up as 'Local Disk' and is now inaccessible. I can still see it in Disk Management and Storage Spaces, and I'm using Disk Drill to recover the files. I'm wondering why this happened and what steps I can take to prevent it in the future. Additionally, should I do anything else besides offloading the files and formatting the drives to regain access?
